Me, either -- just as I wasn't able to rustle up much sympathy for Joxer until possibly the start of season 5 of Xena, when he was determined to rescue the mortal remains of Xena and Gabrielle from their crosses so that they could be buried together, even if he died in the attempt.

On the rare occasions when Joxer gave up the posturing and self-dramatizing (which is so very Andrew!) and showed some humility and genuine concern for others rather than himself, THEN I could almost like him -- but it wasn't all that often!
