Yeah, NOBODY messes with Marshal Stacker Pentecost, with his command presence AND ability to go to the mat when it counts most. Plus, how interesting is it that he's named for a religious festival and gets to say lines like, "Today, we are canceling the Apocalypse!"?

And now that I've finally seen the movie, I've been getting a kick out of reading all the "Pacific Rim" fanfic, especially jedibuttercup's BtVS/PR crossover collection, Canceling the Apocalypse (http://www.tthfanfic.org/Story-29413/jedibuttercup+Canceling+the+Apocalypse.htm), which has Marshal Pentecost as the last, kick-ass scion of an old Watcher family and Buffy and Faith as co-pilots of a specially constructed Slayer Jaeger. :)
