A friend just sent me a link to this essay Dreaming Cyborg Dreams: Virtual Identity and Religious Experience by Rachel Wagner.
I'm kind of squicked by the idea of anyone deliberately choosing to get inside David Koresh's head, even in a game, but much more bothered, honestly, by the idea of crucifying fellow players, even in virtual reality.
Did anyone else see this essay or have any thoughts about it?
