revdorothyl at 07:01pm on 19/05/2010I left Lincoln, Nebraska at 10 AM yesterday and pulled into my driveway here in Nashville just about 9:50 PM (I only stopped three times for gas, and only one of those stops included a bathroom break -- no stops for food or beverage, other than what I brought with me), so I figure I made pretty good time . . . especially since I gravely miscalculated my departure time and ended up having to drive through St. Louis, MO at the peak of rush hour, and with road construction galore.
It didn't take long in the fitness center tonight (for anyone who's counting, this was either day 25 of my recent workout regimen, or else day 1 of the new regimen -- I'm not sure which) for me to realize that I lost some ground in just one week without my workouts, so it's a good thing I won't be going anywhere for quite a while, now.

BTW, the convention did have a couple of new-to-me Firefly/Serenity T-shirts in the dealers' room, but they clashed with my complexion (I love to eat chocolate, but as a shirt color it makes me look ill, which means that my 'browncoat' affiliation has to remain virtual, for the most part), so I had to settle for a bright purple Guild of Radical Militant LIbrarians T, instead, just because, hey, purple! Oh, and a And Then Buffy Staked Edward. The End. shirt, just becuase you can never have too many Buffy shirts (and too many of my favorite Buffy and Spike shirts are awfully tight these days -- darned middle-aged office worker weight gain!)
