I've been playing "Lexulous" (Scrabble without the trademark and with one extra letter per hand, basically) on Facebook for a couple of months now, with my old Scrabble-playing friend in Kansas (in fact, being able to play this game was the only reason I got on Facebook in the first place), and I've become so addicted to the game that I convinced my sister (who's never willingly played a game of Scrabble with me in her life) to play with me, too.
I now wonder if convincing my sister to play (and giving her a short course in winning strategies and the web address of two-letter word lists and other resources) was such a good idea.
After losing four games to me by narrower and narrower margins, she just won her first game against me with a final score of 689 to my 451. I knew I was in trouble when she kept scoring 'bingos' by using seven letters in one move, but the coup de grace was when she played "PSHAWING" on two triple-word scores for 229 points in a single move.
What have I let loose upon the world?!?
