It was pretty roundly hated by the critics and smart people I know and love hated it, as you can see in the comments on my entry on it. Which is all well and good (about my loved ones hating it---I think Ebert didn't even see it, personally) for generating discussion. Still it's nice to have a thoughtful ally on it.
