Sister reports that Mom is upbeat and functioning well
Sis went over yesterday to take out garbage, change and wash sheets, and help Mom change her shirt, but said that Mom seems to be adapting well to the broken humerus bone and keeping up with the very minimal prescribed exercises (in spite of her eagerness to get better faster).
Dad was just elected Alderman for the district including their senior apartment complex, so he's keeping busy with that new job, and Mom's still very much engaged in the other activities there in the complex. Mom's not quite ready to drive herself the fifteen miles or so to her part-time librarian job (in my sister's estimation), but I reckon that'll come soon enough.
It's good to hear she's doing so well, but I'm also glad that Sis is dropping by every day or two until Mom's got a bit more mobility in her right arm.
