revdorothyl at 04:48pm on 12/05/2010I'm getting kind of psyched about setting out for Nebraska and Iowa tomorrow afternoon (which is good, because with an 11- to 12-hour drive ahead of me, even with a stopover to sleep along the way, I don't want to start OUT in a grumpy mood!), on my way to attend DemiCon 21.
Granted, I don't know any of the guests of honor at this year's con, but it's a chance to hang out with friends and cruise the hucksters' room, and -- who knows? -- there might even be a panel or two worth attending.
I've already made a list of t-shirts to look for in the dealers' hall, including this Firefly "Jaynestown" t-shirt featuring a picture of the giant statue of Jayne Cobb erected by the grateful 'mudders' of Canton in one of my favorite "Firefly" episodes.
