I'm getting kind of psyched about setting out for Nebraska and Iowa tomorrow afternoon (which is good, because with an 11- to 12-hour drive ahead of me, even with a stopover to sleep along the way, I don't want to start OUT in a grumpy mood!), on my way to attend DemiCon 21.
Granted, I don't know any of the guests of honor at this year's con, but it's a chance to hang out with friends and cruise the hucksters' room, and -- who knows? -- there might even be a panel or two worth attending.
I've already made a list of t-shirts to look for in the dealers' hall, including this Firefly "Jaynestown" t-shirt featuring a picture of the giant statue of Jayne Cobb erected by the grateful 'mudders' of Canton in one of my favorite "Firefly" episodes.

I'll wave in all directions, just to make sure I don't slight any Nebraskan friends!

Take care on the road, and don't run over any Ewoks.

I'm in Lincoln now and will be heading back to Nashville (about 12-13 hours of constant driving, if all goes well) tomorrow morning, to be back at work on Wednesday.
