My sister just emailed me that Brett Ratner's edited-down version of "Kites" is only 90 minutes long and won't be released until next week, so the two-hour-plus version I saw yesterday was the whole megillah.
According to this New York Times review of 'KITES', this film was always intended to be a crossover with much less singing and dancing and many more car chases and explosions, but the version I saw included the full array of soulful close-ups and incredibly lithe dance moves featuring Hrithik Roshan, so I'm happy and relieved!
