Confessions of a Liberal Puritan

In case anyone with a Kindle is looking for a new, more easily readable version of the New Testament (the Old Testament part of this translation is still being worked on, from what I hear), I just got an email about the availability of the new Common English Bible New Testament for a FREE Kindle download on Amazon until the Friday after next.

I don't know if I'm personally acquainted with any of the scholars who did the New Testament translations, but I think that at least the Apocryphal book of Tobit (as far as I know, the Apocrypha will be available in print next year, along with the Old Testament) was translated by an old seminary classmate of mine, so . . . woo-hoo! :)
