revdorothyl at 09:56pm on 29/10/2011 under movie reviewsI highly recommend the new Shah Rukh Khan film "Ra.One", which I saw this afternoon in 2D.
It's the entertaining, heart-warming, edge-of-the-seat family adventure that "Tron Legacy" really, really should have been (but wasn't), with healthy doses of the look of "Ironman" and a delightful tribute to my favorite Jet Li fight scene of all time (from "Romeo Must Die", with a big assist from Aaliyah), but best of all it reminded me of everything I loved most about "Terminator 2". And on top of all that, it was very funny at times, and every single musical number was a winner, as far as I'm concerned.
Afterwards, there was a showing of "Puss in Boots" just about to start, so I got to see that as well (and loved it). You don't have to be a cat person to enjoy this adorable, character-rich movie, but if you are a cat person, it's absolutely irresistible.

I'm hoping to get the kids to see Puss in Boots as well, so it's good to know it will be worth it.
