Oh these were adorable!
I just read through all three stories and I think I like Mal's the best.
I only hope you'll let River and Jayne tell stories eventually.

I think Jayne's story would involve far more violence than is strictly appropriate (which the kids, being kids, would probably enjoy) and accidental bad language. Glares and threats from Simon (and possibly others) would ensue.
Jayne's story would be about some bad-ass awesome Robin Hood-like heist wherein the crew robbed from the rich and
soldgave to the poor.It might involve everyone else getting kidnapped and River and Jayne having to Save The Day in a thoroughly violent, clever, and bad-ass manner. Jayne is thoroughly admiring of River's violence and . . . well, everything else.
River would think it was kind of sweet because it took place in either the pre-Rayne or early Rayne days and was sort of romantical (for a Rayne value of romantical).
And then Simon would seriously be pissed off.

I admit that the idea of Jayne taking care of tiny people - his or anybody else's - amuses me. He'd probably be pretty good at it, really. (Because kids actually tend to like violent stories and think bad words are funny and are like to repeat them at the most inappropriate moments to the chagrin of their parents and everyone else's amusement.) And he'd protect a kid from, you know, everything.
