revdorothyl at 03:27pm on 15/06/2005In case anyone else hasn't seen this, but would be interested in adding to the over 300,000 signatures already on this MoveOn.org petition to Congress, please see the note and link below. Speaking for myself, I couldn't get through the day without my NPR news and other programming (even if they have stopped re-running my all-time favorite program, "Riders Radio Theater"!).
From the MoveOn.org e-mail sent out today:
"Tomorrow, the House Appropriations Committee will decide whether to approve these severe cuts to NPR and PBS. We can stop the cuts--and save public TV and radio--with a strong show of public outrage. We'll report to the committee members on our petition before they vote.
"Can you help us reach 400,000 signers by the end of the day?
