This is the first chance I've had to post since Sunday night, but I'm still pondering the didn't-we-deja-this-vu-already? weirdness of Sunday night's Sci-Fi Channel lineup, which started out at 6 PM Central with David Boreanaz chewing the scenery like Angelus on a drug-inspired spree as the bad guy "Luc Crash" (engaged to "Lola Byrne" and determined to be Satan's instrument on earth) in "The Crow: Wicked Prayer".

THEN this piece of presumably direct-to-video film artistry from 2005 was immediately followed at 8 PM Central by Charisma Carpenter as a Seer who draws pictures of visions of dreadful future disasters and ends up helping her exorcist/Champion brother kick demonic ass in another under-the-radar 'gem' from 2005, "Voodoo Moon".

I was SO having Angel season 4 flashbacks, and wishing with all my heart that I was watching AtS re-runs instead of these wanna-be bloodless imitations.

When I see the kind of movies David Boreanaz, in particular, apparently gets to choose from, I'm triply grateful that his current television series Bones has turned out to be so much better than I'd expected.

I don't think I'd noticed first time around, but last Wednesday's re-run was a fairly average-decent episode of Bones (not as interesting or exceptional as the Christmas lock-in episode or the one investigating the disappearance of Angela's boyfriend in the desert, or the riveting season finale, but fun and re-watchable, all the same), with guest appearances by both Harry Groener (the Mayor from BtVS season 3) and the chick who played the short-lived medium in the AtS season 5 episode "HellBound" (I wondered why that annoying LA F.B.I. agent who really wants to be a filmwriter looked sort of familiar).
