Hmmm. But if they don't figure out why you had the deficiency, are they at least making sure it doesn't happen again?

Oh, yeah -- they took more blood (I should have a spigot installed in my left arm, since that's the only place where the veins seem to be accessible and so EVERYBODY chooses the exact same spot to fill their little vials) to test, to see how my vitamin D and calcium levels are coming, and told me they'd get the results in about 10 days, after which they'd let me know how I'm doing -- whether I'm building back up to where I should be and should continue what I'm doing, am already there (miraculously) and can start easing off on the supplements, or need something extra in addition to what I'm doing now. But they ruled out all the dangerous stuff they knew how to look for (all the gastro-intestinal stuff), so I guess they're not worried. And I've still got that bone-density test at some point in the future, once my calcium and vitamin D levels are back to normal, to see what the long-term damage may be.
