I just took a quick glance on Amazon.com, and learned that "Devil May Cry" is number 11 in the series by Sherilynn Kenyon, and there are at least 13 so far, from the looks of it. It bodes well that you were able to pick up #11 and dive right in, without having to have read the earlier books.
I'll see if my library has copies!

My Big, Fat Supernatural Wedding (http://www.amazon.com/My-Big-Fat-Supernatural-Wedding/dp/B0018SYXN8/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1216861775&sr=1-6), with stories by Jim Butcher and some other folks I've actually heard of, in addition to the one you introduced, Sherilynn Kenyon!
Lord, look at em all.
Here's a quote. The h is trying to convice the H to train her to fight the demons he's after. "My father is the harbringer of deathand destruction. My grandmother the Great Destroyer. My mother the goddess of the hunt. I think I'll be okay."
"yeah," he breathed. "You do do have the history of absolute terror and cruelty in your viens."
She winked at him. "Remember that if you ever get between me and my chocolate bar."
