Hmmmm, indeed. I think your Freud is rather more insightful than the original. Might he rip off his whiskers at some point to reveal the Rev Dorothy L Freud?

And I hope the sensation of malaise passes, RevD. Seems to me (admittedly from a distance) that you are firmly in the process of working your way through, and so out of it.

Well, Kes, this Freud is "Freud-as-imagined-by-me-if-he-were-alive-today" crossed wtih "Freud-as-a-convenient-mask-for-my-own-self-assessing-voice" -- so, yes, I guess you're right that underneath it all, he's mostly me talking to me.

Thanks for the kind words, and you're right that this exercise (among other things) has helped me to begin to move forward. I actually did some research yesterday and made several pages of notes for my dissertation. Yay!
