What would make it better? Hmm. I'd reduce the number of open-ended questions, since they are a bear to code. However, I think, for purposes of your dissertation, they've gotta be open-ended.....

And you're right: for my purposes I've got to leave lots of open space and hope for any anecdotal evidence people might offer, rather than try to come up with any solid conclusions based on statistical analysis of the results. I'm especially hoping that some people won't be able to fit everything they have to say in the spaces provided and will be amenable to further, live or online conversations on the topic.
